What happens to the photo you upload

Short version: we never keep it, we strip the home’s location out of it before it goes anywhere, and it is never used to train any model.

We never store your photo.

Your upload is held in memory only for as long as it takes to stage it — a couple of minutes. Nothing is written to a database, a disk, or a storage bucket, because SoldStaged does not have one. When the staged photo comes back to your browser, both copies are gone from our side. If you close the tab without downloading, the result is gone too.

That also means we cannot re-send you a photo later. Download it while it is on screen.

The home’s GPS location is removed first.

Phone cameras write the exact coordinates of where a picture was taken into the file itself. Before your photo goes anywhere at all, we re-encode it, which removes that location and every other hidden camera detail. A staged photo you download carries no trace of where the house is.

We also resize anything larger than 2048px on its longest edge, and refuse files over 12MB.

Two companies handle it on the way through.

Staging a room is not something that happens on our own machines, so it would be untrue to say your photo never leaves us. It passes through exactly two services:

Neither is permitted to use your photo for anything other than returning the staged version to us.

Your photo never trains a model.

We do not use uploads to train, fine-tune, or improve any model, and we do not sell, license, or share them with anyone beyond the two services above. We never publish a customer’s photo — the examples on our site are our own.

What we do keep: a counter, not a person.

To know whether you have used your free photo, your browser holds one small signed cookie containing a random ID and a number. It carries no name, no email, and no way to identify you. There is no advertising or tracking on this site.

Once you buy photos, our payment provider holds the email and card details you give them at checkout, under their own privacy policy. We never see or store a full card number.

Ask us to delete anything, any time.

Because we hold no photos there is normally nothing to delete, but you can email support@getlucidai.com to ask what is held about you, to have it removed, or to have a purchase record deleted. Clearing your browser’s cookies removes the counter yourself.

Still not sure? Ask a person.

Email support@getlucidai.com and a human replies, usually the same working day.
